Session 23: The Ranger Is Born Report

General Summary

After mustering the troops and strategizing. The party narrowly escaped an impierial patrol with the help of Sextus. They made it to Gwyndara where they sought out a healer for the 3 people from the Bertha whose state is worsening. A man named Bran the Runesmith. While in Gwyndara, they discover the town has been in chaos, a wanderer came into the town, dead rose from the grave and 2 inviduals went mad. A man transformed into a beast and maimed and killed several others. A woman killed her children and committed adultry, out of her normal character. The party used a speak with the dead spell and talked to the woman, who said she was overcome with anger at her children for stealing her youth. The party also discovered that Bran had followed the man to the Sheared Summit after the chaos of the town. Suspecting that the wanderer was the messenger from the Deathwatch Brotherhood, carrying the Codex of Corruption to The Aetherhold, the party then went and found a guide to take them to the Sheared Summit: a man named Kaeven.
