Session 29: The Mystic Glenn Report

General Summary

Ash started the session by searching for Shinji, the mysterious Zamoran who has now been confirmed to be in Alderland. Suspecting that the Lux Cult had operations at the Mystic Glen Amphitheatre, the party decided to attend a showing of a play about the origins of Jael and the Old Faith. They informed Floki of the situation and enlisted the help of Seeker Seamus Callahan to secure the building.   Marcus, Allesandra, and Lavinia used Alaric Vanholt's reservations to gain entry, while Lyria and Vass snuck in as an actress and a stagehand. During the pre-show gathering, Marcus and his group met the Alder family, including their dower youngest son, Severus, and the matron of the family, Cersei Alder.   During the event, attempts were made to invade the minds and control several members of the party, successfully overtaking Vass. Realizing the danger, the rest of the party, including Ash, created a distraction with a magic bean that caused a blue fire, lighting a tree on fire and causing a rush out of the building.   Amid the chaos, Vass and Severus were led through a secret door into a sewer-like chamber below the city. In a subterranean chamber, the party engaged in a fierce battle, ultimately killing one of the two succubi hiding in the theater. Alaric joined them in the fight. Severus, who never regained consciousness from what the succubi had done to him, died in the battle. The succubus Kyla survived and fled, leaving the party to contemplate their next steps.   You escaped the Theater and made it back to the Ranger, where you've taken a long rest.
