Session VII: The lost sheep part 1 Report

General Summary

Scrambling footsteps in the hall wake you up from your sleep. The sun is barely starting to rise as you hear a thud coming from the hallway, followed by the Zas' voice mumbling something incoherent.    As you prepare for your day and head out of the inn room provided to you by Serode. you hear voices from down the stairs: "Where are they, we know they are here somewhere." I-I don't know what you're talking about, who are 'they'?" the voice of Serode responds. As the stranger continues in hush voices Rhogar sneaks a few steps down the stairs, just enough to see the bar and a Tel'a'Sei soldier in light leather gear sitting at it.    As Rhogar moves back to inform the party a decision is made. Moving to the end of the hallway is a window where they can escape from.    "Enough! I will look for them myself" The voice from downstairs yells. "Ohh but, but sir, now wait a moment." Zas tries. The party, feeling the danger they are in, make a move for the widow and manage to move out into the street just before the Tel'a'Sei reaches the top of the stairs.   As the party moves out of town, two more Tel'a'Sei move in scouring the streets behind them. following the road toward the west they walk for about four hours without a rest, knowing that the Tel'a'Sei could be hot on their heels.   Walking until the start of the evening the road leads into the forest still not wanting to rest they set on to continue to Rothenum.   Even further into the forest as the party finally stops to take a rest rustling sounds from the shrubbery further into the forest. As the party prepares for the worst the rustling draws closer, until eventually "bahhh!" a sheep emerges from the bushes. The sheep offers a scroll it is holding in its mouth. As the party reads from the scroll the bleating of the animals stops and becomes understandable. "Ahum, thank you thank you. I am Finethir Shinebright." the sheep exclaims. "You have to help me! My apprentice turned on me and turned me into this... this beast!".   As Finethir explains what happened another sound, a yell, comes from the forest. An Orc two wolves and a cloaked figure come from between the trees. "Where is he!?" The orc yells. "You there! Are you trying to take master Nooks priced possession?!"   The party tries to explain themselves but to no avail. the Orc, Guz, getting angry with their antics and their tries in confusing him, attacks. the battle almost costing the life of Rhogar and Dena is narrowly won. Finally with Guz's party defeated the part can take a rest.
