GM Report - Life on the Road
General Summary
Before Leaving
The party decided to take the horses with them to Baldur's Gate.
Godfrey decided to spent the evening working on modifying the disguises for the rest of the party.
On the Boat
- Chenna spent the evening working on her knitting project.
- Benjamin has never been on a boat before. Spent the trip being both terrified and amazed.
- Hjolgarn slept the trip between a couple of barrels.
- Dillion spent most of the trip in the Crow's Nest.
- The trip via the river is fairly quiet.
- Benjamin begins wiping his make-up off during the trip.
Baldur's Gate
Godfrey finds a local stable to host the horses. The pretty maiden managing the stable quotes a price of 7gp per day, per horse. Godfrey gives the lass 30gp and tells her to keep the change.Deigon tried to persuade the maiden for a cheaper price for Mel, but he failed to persuade her. Eilyse paid the maiden 1gp, 5sp for stabling Mel, and Godfrey gave the maiden an additional 5gp.
Eilyse, Godfrey, Dillion, Hjolgarn catch a glimpse of a black dragonborn riding in a palanquin. Eilyse says she thinks it is Rezmir.
As the party approaches what they think is Ackyn's shop, they see a gruff man outside repairing a wagon. Godfrey introduces himself before flashing the man his pin. Ackyn discusses how he can assist once inside his shop. He points the party to the local merchants and shops to acquire roles on the teams traveling northward.
Godfrey sells 7 riding horses to the stable for 400gp. He is then able to purchase 7 more riding horses across town for 450gp.
Hiring Out
- Chenna manages to secure a role as a Guard for Oyn.
- Eilyse manages to secure a role as a Bodyguard for Oyn.
- Dillion manages to secure a role as a Bodyguard for Nyerhite, with bonus pay.

Day One
Losvius takes an interest in Dillion's pipe and tries to acquire it. Dillion declines and the matter drops. Dillion tucks the pipe away with Malaekliss in the evening.
Godfrey followed Larion away from camp to talk to him privately. Larion told Godfrey that he was looking to change his employer, and that he isn't happy in his current line of work.
Benjamin tries to make conversation with Green Imsa. She shares that she's on her way to the next major town in hopes of a cure for her condition. She becomes flustered when asked how she came about her affliction.
Day Two
Dillion wakes in the morning to find his pipe missing. Malaekliss confesses to wandering away from camp to relieve herself, leaving the pipe unguarded. As Dillion is walking through the camp, he see Radecere quickly look away from him. Dillion asks Godfrey if he can see about retrieving his pipe from Radecere if it's in his possession.
During the night, Godfrey successfully retrieves Dillion's pipe along with a few other treasured items belonging to the party. Godfrey leaves behind 7 vulture feathers.
Day Three
In the morning, Godfrey messages the rest of the party that he has procured some of their items they may not have known were missing.
Radecere looks a little ill and is extra withdrawn...though he does mention finding a dead owl in his sleeping bag that morning.
