Eco's Of War

We begin our story in a time of change, turmoil, and suffering. We begin our story in a war. A war that has been raging on long enough for men to have been born, have been drafted, and to have died within the borders of it's time. It's been 56 years since humans first made landing on the west shores of Gwessar, and 28 years since their royalty decided the rest of the continent was to be theirs. Up until now, with underhanded, sabotaging tactics of the first Drassig and the fell deals struck by the second Drassig, the war seems to have been heading in their favor for the majority of the age. That is until recent times, certain humans in the empire having taken up arms against there own kind so as to end the fell deals being struck by the king, lead by Zan Tal'dorei. She and her rebellion have struck an acord with the Elves of Syngorn for the purposes of dethroning the Drassigs and establishing a more just and peaceful empire. To that end, a trap has been set in the foothills of the Cliffkeep. A lure has been set to bring Trist Drassig, the third and current ruling king, along with his army to this valley where the rebellion and the elvish army lie in wait to close the gap behind them and end end this war once and for all. Among the armys gathered here a few individuals that are nothing more than soldiers and mercenaries. They don't know the rolls destiny has laid for them, but for now, their roles are to fight. There's the elvish girl, running from a marriage and her father's overbearence, the elf boy running to war to prove himself, the Dwarf fighting for valor and honor for his people, the human working to find those who darked his past, and the human fighting to prove his worth to his own self. In this battle they will fight against the army's of Drassig for many reasons, but they have one thing in common. They will fall.
