Session 49: Escape Report

General Summary

The party continued to push up the stairs into the side Cave while Struth Hackett and Dahlia Di Mare fell back to assist Tyron climb from the thirty foot fall. Once he'd been rescued everyone convened in the cave off the main stair, Malar Naskin spent 10 minutes meditating to determine the best way to leave this underground cave. He quickly established that the only way out was to continue on the staircase and work through a small cave that possibly contained several orcs. Quickly gathering there things the group continued up the staircase where they came across two Orcs. They quickly dispatched both one falling to his death the other falling on a blade. The group was able to gather some new equipment armour and weapons before they continued on the stairs. After another short climb they came to an opening which revealed a Orc in campement. A battle ensued and with some shuffling thay were able to get Dahlia to the front she quickly dispatched three Orcs. Using the Orc cave as a shortcut they managed to slice off a large portion of their journey, but alas as they exited the cave they came face to face with a small bronze dragon hovering in place. She'd been fascinated by the small fire they lived in the cave and was curious about his new occupants.

Combat ensued!

The dragon blast the group with electricity causing many of them to suffer damage, however the group faught back with the small javelins they'd accumulated before Petros stepped forward and sang a momentous ballad. Through Petros' skill he was able to summon several Griffins and Dire Bats which descended upon dragon and attacked it ferociously. This gave the others an advantage in escaping and sneaking past the Dragons gaze. Hustling up the staircase they made their way to the exit, looking back for a second they were able to see the dragon fall to it's demise below, Petros having cast some sort of disabling spell on it. Bursting forth from a tomb the group found themselves standing in a large cemetery, the night covering the land, snow dapperling the ground and a gentle fog drifting through.
