Session 10: A city of Enemies Report

General Summary

Night of the 7th day of the Red Moon, 437

  The party remains embroiled in a battle with the mercenaries. Tenerok comes out and joins his companions; with the extra hand, the already doomed mercenaries fall. One of the archers is taken hostage by N4 and Maz. The Illuthar guards begin coming down the road as the call of "Fire" rings out among the houses.   Fleeing, the party runs through the streets and finally stops to interrogate the mercenary they captured. The mercenary does not know why the bounty was placed but it was established by a bald man and would be paid out by Alaziel. With that information the party proceeded on to the Artificer's Laboratory and found that it was in a state of disrepair. Azarath snuck in through a hole in the wall and met an artificer by the name of Forcrum who wore leather armor and an apron of an artificer. He had blue eyes, hard calloused hands, and a long bear that he was twirling mindlessly. He told the Azarath that the only member of the artificers who wielded a hammer was one by the name of Morian... who was his rival.   Morian was working on a new artifact that had come in and Folcrum wanted to work on it himself. He offered 500 gold pieces and Gloves of Missile Snaring if the party dealt with Morian. He also noted that he often saw Morian going out to the Red Leaf Tree behind the laboratory.   The party then proceeds to go to The Sleepy Ne'er-do-well and procure a room known as the Quiet Room, which was a torture room. N4 does divination, "Should we pose as the Fen, will that give us an advantage?" that reveals "A mother knows where and when her puppies return."   With a room procured, the party heads to the Tree to ambush Morian. He is a squat man in leather armor with short red hair. Successful hiding allows the party to take him by surprise and tie him up to bring him back to the inn. They search the tree and find a note.
