What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Currently, when you make a marker on a map, that marker will change size on the map as you zoom in or out, so that the marker looks the same size on the screen. This means if you have a large amount of markers on a map, it'll look really crowded when zooming out, to the point where the map just isn't visible underneath.   Additionally, this is the same for labels, which means if I make a label for a nation on a map then zoom out, that label suddenly takes up half the map and covers four nations, overlapping over 18 markers and a 700 other labels, making the map completely impossible to read when zoomed out.    

How does this feature request address the current situation?

I would love to be able to maybe click a "Fixed Size" box when making markers, so that when the marker is on the map, it does not change size according to your zoom level to appear the same size on the screen. If not that, a setting for the whole map that you can enable so that all markers on that map are automatically a fixed size would be lovely still!
