What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

There is no good place to describe a character's neurodivergent attributes, making it awkward to find a place to describe things like their autism.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

A neurodivergent prompt in the mental tab of the character template would allow authors to describe some character attributes using common language, such as autism, adhd, bipolar etc in clearly defined space.

What are other uses for this feature request?

This could be a place for people to reference their own mental conditions (such as spell burnout), similar to a condition, but not presented as an infectious disease or similar but as an innate characteristic.

The Team's Response

For context

Neurodivergence is the rather new term for when someone's brain processes, learns, and/or behaves differently from what is considered "typical." for when someone's brain processes, learns, and/or behaves differently from what is considered "typical."   Neurodivergent attributes can be described in a variety of sections depending on what they are. The Neurodivergent grouping is not a single condition and should not be treated as such.

At the moment I record these sorts of things under the intellectual characteristics tab which works well as I feel that these things have an impact on the whole of a person's thinking. That being said, having a section dedicated to neurodivergence or actually any sort of specific mental health topics would give the option of being able to describe physical habits, thought processes, emotional reactions, and lots of other related information which don't always fit neatly into the intellectual characteristics box. Sometimes this info fits into the mental trauma box for me when they have PTSD or depression following an event, but it would be handy not to have to saddle between two boxes for this info.

I love this idea! As someone who is autistic, and having a wife and daughter who are both ADHD this would be an amazing thing to add to our games.
