custom-templates game-rules

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

There has been reasonable pushback on the idea of creating a game rules template within the default templates, and the purported solution has always been to use custom templates instead. However, when a player/reader searches for a particular article, even with a custom template it will always appear with the default name in parenthesis.

This makes searchability frustrating as elements can't easily be differentiated even when using custom templates. For instance, if my game has articles I want to template as "rules" and another article about a particular feature type called "talents", all of these elements would appear with (article) next to them when searched instead of "Flanking (rules)" or "Skirmisher (talent)".

How does this feature request address the current situation?

This change would allow for better searchability and organization when using custom articles.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! While we can see the usefulness of this, it seems to be too niche based on the support this received. Therefore we're closing this for now.
