"Nested" Content Trees

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

The ability to import one Content Tree's contents into another.

Currently let's say there is a Confederation of 5 "Settlements" each with their own Content Tree, but you want to have a large overview of the whole structure in the "Organization" article. If you want to achieve this you would have to manually restructure all the 5 "Settlement" hierarchies under let's say the "King" root element which oversees all 5 settlements.

Maybe a dropdown in additional actions filled with every other Content Tree to import the articles (aka nodes) and the connections (aka branches) of another content tree into inside your new tree.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Users could reuse their Content Trees for more complex Content Trees. Imagine the beautiful forests this could create for a world. Save your world, make a tree.

Many Hierarchical systems are often standardized for example let's say a feudal town's hierarchy, or a trading post's, or let's say a mining planet's hierarchy. Example: 20 of your mining planets all have the same hierarchy, but the 21st mining planet has the very precious worldanvilnite on it, so they have an additional branch to oversee that the worldanvilnite is well protected and handled with utmost care and secrecy. You could create the 21st mining planet's content tree, create the worldanvilnite overseeing hierarchy, then import any of the 20 base mining planet hierarchies to have the rest under it.

What are other uses for this feature request?

Ok so this is where we get into the fun part. Do you want to see gigacharts? People could create "chart templates" for themselves such as let's say nations with the Dimitris Church as the official religion have their theological branch looking like this while nations following the Dimitris Deniers Cult have their theological branch looking differently. People could make little templates for all matters of stuff and then combine them together to make big and beautiful frankenstein's monster charts with little to no effort by just importing some templates, then drag and dropping them around underneath and next to each other.

The Team's Response

This suggestion has not received the required support from the community   As a note, this is a recipe for disaster since the chance of creating an infinite loop multiply exponentially.
