Totally agree. Chronicles looked like a brilliant good idea, but without any possibility of importing previous timelines, it is a total waste of time. When they launched Chronicles I have already made many timelines. In the moment I realized it was not possible to import the previous timelines and events into the Chronicles, I quite using this feature. World Anvil is supposed to help creators to save time and Chronicles and Linear Timelines are, for now, incompatibles, so a time waste.

Maybe this has already been considered and is being reworked, but just as a record that I like this idea, I'm gonna vote anyway. I've kinda wanted to try Chronicles, but this problem exactly kept me from doing it.

Timelines are being reworked as we speak, it's unlikely to get accepted before that rework is done
