web-graph -graph obsidian

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

It is currently difficult to visualize the relationships between topics (articles) in a spacial way. We have to click through dozens of linked articles to find how each is related to others, which is cumbersome.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

By adding a Web Graph View similar to Obsidian, we could see, order, and connect articles in a visual way, which would be extremely helpful for many of us who are primarily visual thinkers, lending a greater understanding of our world content and therefore facilitating quicker and more complete worldbuilding.

What are other uses for this feature request?

We could make new connections between ideas, articles, regions, pretty much anything, much more easily. We could easily see if any articles are orphaned and see where to connect them, color-code articles in this view to categorize them, apply WA's existing categories and icons to the articles and groups of articles, incorporating the existing structure of WA's categories and nested articles, etc. The benefits are manifold! WA is about connecting worldbuilding to form a cohesive, presentable world and this feature would go a long way to promote that vision on the back-end especially, but perhaps even for the front end.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! It's a cool idea, something like this will be added in a future update.
