table-of-contents navigation
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently within pages, you can use the headers to change to default fonts and CSS styles, but the change is ultimately only in appearance. There is no way to jump between headers, which is particularly useful in longer pages.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
I propose the addition of a feature similar to that of a wiki, primarily Wikipedia - a simple Table of Contents tag that scans the page for headers, uses their weight (h1, h2, etc.) to nest them, and then outputs the result into a table at the top of the page with links, such that clicking one of the headers there scrolls the page down to the position of that header.
Example, per Wikipedia:

What are other uses for this feature request?
None, the use is for navigation of longer pages alone.
Follow up
Thank you to everyone who added that I could do this in BBCode! I had only used BBCode in a forum setting before this, so I was unaware there was such a tag. Thank you!
The Team's Response
As mentioned already [articletoc] is what you need. It automatically scans the article's headers and creates a table of contents for you
