Optional (nullable) linking in interactive tables

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

The ability to leave certain rows in the linked article columns empty. (Display wise it would show empty like the first row in dangers)

How does this feature request address the current situation?

I bumped into a use case when making an alchemy crafting table. Currently I need to fill out the "Defining ingredient" column for every row, but I do not necessarily want to do that if it's either unknown or has no defining ingredient.

What are other uses for this feature request?

You may want to make tables before you make the linked articles. Currently you can't do that because you must link something to article linked rows. Which means you have to link a temporary article. With this change you wouldn't have to do that.   Generally giving non-identifier columns the ability to be undefined is a good practice, especially for software that has a lot of use cases (like WA). This is not an issue in the article system as all kinds of linking is optional and you can make an article without linking, but the design behind interactive tables seems to diverge strangely.   ((I know the setback is the auto navigation for rollable tables, but can't it just be validated and not navigate if it's a null result? Same as if the linked article no longer exists (got deleted)))

Follow up

It's early morning xd The arrow is pointing the wrong direction, but it should be pointing at Holy Water where I added Water (not a link) as a dummy value instead of having the ability to leave it empty
edit2: replaced the image to show the correct arrow
