manuscripts -search ordering organization
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
When searching for something in a Manuscript, the list of results does not appear in the same order as the scenes in the manuscript. For example, a scene from chapter 5 might appear before a scene from chapter 1, and neither scene will indicate which chapter it's from (which parent folder). However, when searching for a specific word in a manuscript, we often look for other occurrences of a particular topic coming up (what has already been said about X, or when X first met Y) to check for continuity in a story over time.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Presently to do this kind of ordered continuity searching/editing within a manuscript it's easier to export the entire story to HTML and search through an exterior program, which can be a much longer process with longer stories.
If manuscript search results were returned in the order they appear in their manuscripts, or if there were options to order these results (most relevant/recent/manuscript order) they would be easier to work with inside of WA.
The Team's Response
Nothing against that- just very low support for it.
