Allow co-authors to have access to more than one world

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I have made multiple worlds to keep track of a few different projects, but I am collaborating with the same group of people on several of them. With the current setup, each co-author uses one of my co-author slots per world that they are invited to collaborate on, rather than one slot per author.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

I would like to be able to assign my existing co-authors to these additional worlds with each co-author only using up one of my limited number of co-author accounts rather than one-per-world.

User Story

  • GIVEN: I have set up two or more worlds on my account
  • WHEN: I have invited one or more co-authors to my world
  • THEN: I would like to be able to add an existing co-author from one world that I own to another world that I own without using up an additional co-author slot.

What are other uses for this feature request?

  None

The Team's Response

Hello there, this will be declined. The slots of co-authors you are getting is determined by the type of subscription you have. Asking for 1 or more co-authors to exist in multiple worlds in effect multiplies the number of slots you have.   This is a request on pricing policy on a feature.

That would be a nice touch, given the limited co-author slots. Allowing each of us as author accounts to have the set amount of slots, then letting us delegate which worlds the co-authors are able to access and which worlds they cannot. Brilliant! I never thought of this because I only have co-authors on one of my worlds currently, but I can see where this would be most helpful! God bless you and thank you for suggesting this!

On one hand, I do understand why you'd want this. But I also understand why it's implemented the way it is, because the world owner determines the world's permissions. So if each co-author only takes 1 slot no matter how many worlds, a Grandmaster could theoretically give each co-author an unlimited amount of free Grandmaster-level worlds to play in.
