Toggle Timeline Sort Order

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

The ability to toggle the sort order of timelines so that a user has the ability to see the events in either ascending or descending order. Though the Era feature allows to invert the date, this is not the same behavior as sorting the timeline.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

This will allow visitors to my world the ability to choose to either see the most current events or the linear history for day 1 without requiring them to scroll the entire page to get to the most recent event. This could be acheived through segmenting the events through eras, but this is a kludgy work around, especially if there are a lot of events within a give month/week/day.

What are other uses for this feature request?

To help easily navigate the timeline for a better user experience.

The Team's Response

Timelines are already bound for a VERY big refresh (I am not talking about Chronos I am talking about timelines themselves)
  • Snake Venom's Scroll/go to start is a great start
  • Filtering by importance is also something I have accepted before.

There already is a button that scrolls you the the top of a page. At least give us a button that scrolls to the bottom of the page. If implementing a reverse order timeline is too taxing, this surely isn't.

Or at the very least a "scroll to beginning of timeline"-button be available by default.

I would use this. What I really want the ability to filter the timeline based on significance and type.
