Tooltips and statblocks - could we mix in variables or add tooltip-option to the blocklinks?

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Short version. I would like the ability to make custom tooltips for the custom Statblocks templates we can make with the studio. Just like with badge sheets and tracking sheets, you would have a tab that you can leave empty if you don't want a tooltip, but if you do make a tooltip to it. Like the ones with "Term, Advanced" in variables section, the tooltip tab here would function like a value with the "Term, Advanced"-variable. Now, when you'd put a blocklink-code to in a page in your world or inside another statblock, you could hover it and see the tooltip without clicking the link.

BBcode next to the text variable in the Template Creator (which, if I remember right, wasn't recommended?) and add something like "term, advanced"-variable to the text like the one describing a charmed condition. And this kinda works. If you have put block-tag to your world somewhere, it does work as intended, however, if you look for statblocks from stat block manager, the block title gets printed, yes, but because some of the css/ stuff or something is different, you don't actually get a tooltip. But I think we could do one better.

My 2nd idea, which I think could be more useful to people is simply to add a new tab to the Sheet and block editor, one that says "tooltip", right there next to badge- and tracking sheet. When you make a custom sheet/block, you could either leave this empty, and the blocklinks would work as they currently do, OR, you could use the information of the sheet to make a custom advanced tooltip that appears when you hover the blocklink of a condition/spell/whateveryouwanttomake that uses the block in question. I think this could prove to be more elegant and useful for several people.

I have been adding some spells to my roster of stat blocks for my players to see and to ease up my GM stuff. Sometimes in the middle of a game, one may feel the need to check things like "darn, what was this condition" or "what were exactly the stats of this weapon?" Good thing we can make statblocks about those things and add them as blocklinks to our other statblocks!

This is definitely very convenient, but it could be even slightly more convenient; what if you could put tooltips on these instead of blocklinks? Now you wouldn't need to click away from the said link, but you could see from a tooltip the description of the condition, for example.

How could that be achieved? Well, I can think of 2 ways. One is simply to use the variables system inside the blocks. You make a tooltip variable from something like a condition description and pop it in your block. This... ALMOST works already, I saw in my experimenting, but not quite. You need to have a custom template, where you have but

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Making it possible to make tooltips to blocks when required would make things like browsing them much faster. You could easily simply add a block for a condition in DnD, then copy that block link to stuff that causes said condition and there, not only you got a link to it, you also get a tooltip so you don't even need to click the link right away. You could use this in spell lists, so you could see for example spell's school and level before you even click it. This could make finding blocks a lot faster and more convenient. And since it is something you can customize, you wouldn't even need to have it unless you want to.

In one of my statblock markups, I have tooltips to hardcoded text:   [tooltip:This is my tooltip text.]   So, while there is support for tooltips within statblocks already, it would be nice to be able to pull their text from variables so I could manage the contents outside of editing the overall template to make a change.
