What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Making secrets is too many clicks, and editing is to slow. What I'd like is the option to just make a line in the article readible to all, or individuals, without going to the process of making a secret. Just a button to click next to each line to share with all or some.How does this feature request address the current situation?
This would make the workflow a lot smoother, and reduce the clicks and loading times to go from one page to another. Secrets would be easier to share at the moment of adressing them. Now it's almost impossible to do so while playing, because it hacks into the flow.The Team's Response

As is, the process of creating a secret is so heavy that it is inconvenient to make it a consistent theme in a world, where there is a difference between public, private, and individual knowledge of specific topics. There is also the organizational issue of having multiple pages and topics devoted to one subject.

A simple Tag code that functions like SPOILERS with an ID modifier for subscriber groups would fit the need perfectly, and still allow the utility already granted, with a few keystrokes instead of a few page loads. Seems an obvious improvement.

on 2022-03-28 23:51A lot of WA's functionality, in my opinion, demonstrates the trade-offs between power/utility and simplicity/ease of use (though ease of use has increased significantly across the board over the last couple years!). Secrets are like this. Yes, it's not necessarily easy to create them, in the sense that—to use your words for it—it takes quite a few clicks. But there's a lot of utility packed into the secret feature. I, for one, am happy to see WA continue to prioritize functionality over simplicity.
