What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Presently, the language template has a search function for certain words in your created language. However, there is no way to see what words are avalable.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Creating a Dictionary Word List would allow people to view the current words in said language

Kinda what I'm asking is something like the 'actual contents' tab in the Document Template.

The Team's Response

This functionality is already present on the Dictionary BBCode. This cannot be implemented by default there are dictionaries with over 15,000 words

I was about to suggest something like this, then saw this at the very top. Something like having a list you can open up and a search bar to look for stuff as well would work perfectly!

As Chrispy_0 indicated, there's already a function similar to what you suggest. And as someone using that option, I can confirm that it works.

I'm pretty sure we've had a suggestion for this before, which was turned down because a list wouldn't work with large dictionaries. Nevertheless, I would love the option of having the dictionary display as a list instead of just a search function, even if gated to a max number of entries (like Scalenex said).

This is a very great suggestion. A lot of times, I only create 3-12 words per fantasy language, just enough to establish the flavor of a language. A list makes more sense for any word list <100 words than a search function.

The button probably needs to be designed better (like, just have a description of the button next to the button...).   Anyways...if you go to the Dictionary section when editing a Language article, there is a button that allows you to copy your dictionary to the clipboard (It is next to the dictionary word count). It's literally just a large button with a clipboard icon in it. Pasting that in any article should generate a list of words when viewing the article.   Not sure if that's what you meant or something else...
