What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Please add a way to restore an article to a previous version. This could be through version control or history for articles. Right now we have no way to restore articles to a previous version. I have lost days worth of work by working on an article, then later re-opening my browser, a cached copy of a previous version of the article gets loaded into the editor by the browser, the editor autosaves, and resets my article to a state it was in days ago. If we had a simple way to revert to a previous edit then this would be reversible. As it stands now I have no way at all to recover many hours of work.How does this feature request address the current situation?
Adding a way to revert to the previous edit or see a version history would allow us to recover accidental deletions or mishaps.What are other uses for this feature request?
A version history or edit restoration feature would also be useful in cases where a user in a multi-user world edits an article to add or remove content that should not be modified.The Team's Response
