This just means that you can add descriptions to the dates of Timelines. You could also make this a place to put abbreviations for the Dynasties of your world. Also, Pm or Am to the hours, because that is also confusing without context. But if you want to make a modern campaign or a story set in the real world, you should be able to add AD and BC to the dates. (Or Bce and Ce if you prefer) It would just be great for context. You can make the dates negative on the timelines currently but that is not really the same. It can make the Timelines act weird sometimes.
