navigation fixes

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

The new setup for navigation is really great! Being able to have a parent article, and the parent article automatically linking to all its children, and ease of getting to the category folder is excellent. But when it was put in, the "next" and "previous" article links broke, and fixing it isn't possible unless you recreate each affected entire article from a blank.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

It would give us the "previous" and "next" options back, for either navigation (which would be redundant for the new system) or make it take only a few seconds to fix error links.

What are other uses for this feature request?

By keeping the new article parentage system and reintroducing the previous/next system, world creators would have a range of navigational options.

My executive disfunction hit the roof when I discovered the linear navigation was broken -- and even with using col3 in the Full Footer to manually create linear navigation substitutes, the work of making even a small article is a HUGE barrier to getting my brainweasels all scampering in the same general direction. I had been doing 5 to 12 articles per day, several times a week. Now I just stare at the screen trying to remember how this all works.

I opened WorldAnvil for the first time in a week or so today and found that the linear navigation was gone. This was really upsetting since I use it for my session reports to easily move back and forth through them. I don't know why this feature was removed, but I would love to have it back.
