Beyond the Green Wall

What are the minions of the Undead Lord doing?

This is the question I asked myself many decades ago and it was one that sent me on a long and difficult journey into the very lands of the undead itself. With the shade of Death as my guide I spied on the inner workings of the Undead Lands.

The Shade of Death himself showed me the way. In those dark nights alone by the fire with nothing but the Bone Raven and whispers as my guides. I got the inkling in our time together that Deaths Shade wished for me to undo the Lord of Undeath. Strange as though it may seem to most, he seems to fight for the side of life, or near at least, the undoing of the abhorrent undeath.

He Guided me past the Giants of Flesh, Soul, and Bone. He opened a hole in the Green Wall of Death and gave me passage. It will cost me my life, but if I can return with a way to end this all it will have been worth the sacrifice.

He cloaked me in the shadows of the land of undeath so I could bring back these words that may one day, All Father willing, serve to bring the Lord of Undeath to his final demise.

In a dream Deaths Shade showed me the times heros had made their way to the heart of the Undead Lands. To meet before the Necroking and even slay him. Only for him to be reborn again and the heroes brought into the fold of undeath.

If the Lord of Undeath is to be stopped it must start with those wretched Spires he builds. Throughout the Lands of Undeath large black stone towers reach toward the sky in crippling and contorted shape and form. An unnerving green light eminates from them. I can see the shadows of those rotten and over lived souls flowing through the night back to these towers. Their Souls then reborn into a new corpse of some poor dead soul. Given new twisted life that seems to do nothing but perpetuate the evils of the Lord of Undeath.

I believe these towers must be destroyed, that they are the source of the Lord of Undeaths eternal control over the Lands.
