Spellcasting. The scribe casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Intelligence as the scribe ability (spell save DC 13):

  • At will: gust, guidance
  • 2/day each: gust of wind, locate object
  • 1/day each: mage armor, wind wall

Evasion. If the scribe is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, the scribe instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw and only half damage if it fails, provided it isn't incapacitated.

Actions

Multiattack. The scribe makes two Howling Wind attacks.
Howling Wind. Melee Spell Attack: +5 to hit, reach 30 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) bludgeoning damage plus 9 (2d8) thunder damage.
Crippling Chill (1/Day). A blast of cold air erupts around a creature the scribe can see within 90 feet of it. The creature must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) cold damage and is restrained until the start of the scribe's next turn. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and isn't restrained.

Bonus Action

Zephyr Strike (Recharge 4-6). The scribe moves up to its speed, surrounding itself with battering winds as it moves. Until the end of its turn, the scribe can move through the space of other creatures. The first time the scribe enters a creature's space on a turn, that creature must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone. If the scribe ends its turn in another creature's space, the scribe takes 5 (1d10) force damage and is pushed into the nearest unoccupied space.

Reactions

Slow Fall. When the scribe takes falling damage, it may reduce the damage by half.
