Non-magic Weapon addon for the Weapons Expanded Compendium:
You can buy variations of the base weapons from skilled blacksmiths or thematically appropriate places.
If your backstory has you growing up in a suitable location, and your class starts with the appropriate base weapon, you can start with it. Restricted to weapons worth less than 75 GP.
Alternatively, an Engineer of 5th level or higher can reforge an existing weapon into one of its variants over the course of a few days at the cost of some gold.
