All-Around Vision. Enemies can't gain advantage by flanking Thrumbolg.   Areadbhar's Wrath. If Thrumbolg starts his turn conscious but unable to take actions, Areadbhar attacks on its own, using Thrumbolg's Areadbhar attack as no action. Areadbhar shares Thrumbolg's movement speed.   Cheat Fate. When Thrumbolg drops to 0 hit points, his body and possessions disappear, but he is not destroyed. He reappears in Mag Tureah at full hit points and with his possessions after the next sunrise or sunset. If an attack made with Fragarach drops him to 0 hit points, Thrumbolg does not rise again.

Actions

Multiattack. Thrumbolg makes two attacks, able to use Areadbhar or Gae Bulg for these attacks. Furthermore he can make one Evil Eye attack.   Areadbhar. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 30 5d8+8 piercing damage, and Thrumbolg teleports the target up to 30 feet.   Gae Bulg. Ranged Weapon Attack: +14 range 500 ft., one target. Hit. 21 2d12+8 piercing damage, the target is restrained and takes 10 3d6 piercing damage at the start of their turns. A succesful DC 22 Strength saving throw ends the effect and the damage. A failed save increases the damage to 15 3d10 piercing damage at the start of their turns.   First Lord's Dread Gaze (Recharges on Short Rest). Thrumbolg forces a creature it can see within 60 feet to make a DC 23 Constitution saving throw or take psychic damage equal to half their hit point maximum.   Evil Eye. Thrumbolg magically forces a creature it can see within 60 feet to make a DC 23 Charisma saving throw or be affected by one of the following effects. When Thrumbolg is below half his maximum hit points, he can use two different evil eyes, each against a different target.

  1. Eye of Command. The target is dominated as per the Dominate Monster spell.
  2. Eye of Death. The target takes 14 4d6 necrotic damage, and deals half damage with Strength based attacks until the end of Thrumbolg's next turn.
  3. Eye of Obeisance. The target takes 14 4d6 psychic damage and falls prone, unable to stand up until the end of Thrumbolg's next turn.
  4. Eye of Pain. The target gains vulnerability to all damage until the end of Thrumbolg's next turn.
  5. Eye of Retribution. The target takes 14 4d6 force damage whenever the target damages Thrumbolg, until the end of Thrumbolg's next turn.
  6. Eye of Terror. The target takes 14 4d6 psychic damage and become frightened of Thrumbolg until the end of Thrumbolg's next turn.

Legendary Actions

Thrumbolg can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Thrumbolg regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.   Master of Portals. Thrumbolg teleports up to 60 feet.   Imperious Gaze. Thrumbolg makes an Evil Eye attack.
