Challenge 9

At will: Shape Shift: The Lung can polymorph into a medium or smaller beast with a CR of 1 or lower that cannot fly. Any damage it takes over the form's max is carried to the Lung's real body. It takes a full action to polymorph, a bonus action to revert to normal form.

Amphibious: The Lung can breathe both air and water.     Shed Skin: When the Lung is reduced to 0 hit points and not killed outright, it begins to revert to the Larval Lung stage to begin life again. This process takes 12 hours and if the Lung is attacked again, it dies. If at any time during the 12 hour shedding process the Lung is targeted by any 6th level spell or higher that grants hp or regenerative abilities, the Lung will instead shed only its outermost layer of skin and return to full health. This reversal takes 10 minutes.

Actions

Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 11 (3d6) piercing damage. On a successful hit, the Lung can immediately attempt to grapple the target if it is a medium or smaller creature.     Twisting Coils: The Lung attempts to grapple a medium or smaller creature. Lung strength vs target dexterity. When a creature is grappled in this way, its movement becomes 0, it has disadvantage on attacks, and the Lung has advantage on attacks targeting the grappled creature. The Lung can only grapple one creature at a time.
