Battlith (Sergal)

Weapon Heavy, Two Handed This weapon counts as a polearm for the purpose of weapons feats. Varies

The Battlith is a traditional two bladed Sergal weapon, whose two huge, thick blades each curve down an opposing side and form a handguard. The name comes from the Elven name for the weapon Vallith, which they adapted for their own use after encountering it among their Sergal enemies in the south. The actual Sergal name for it is simply "Twoblade", which never really caught on among Humans, especially since the Elven name was entrenched.   Unlike the Elven style Battlith, which consists of two rather basic blades screwed or clamped together around a Mithril core (or entirely Mithril), the Sergal version is one huge hunk of metal. While this does require great skill to forge it's by no means as rare. Still, the weapon is prohibitively heavy and few non-Sergal use it so it is not common to encounter one at your local blacksmith.   For the more lightweight Elven version (which does not require a special proficiency), see Battlith (Elven).   For an overview of how a Battlith might be wielded by your character, watch this video.
