Quarterstaff of Holding

Weapon Versatile, Magical Very Rare

This quarterstaff is vaguely serpentine in shape, and made of titanium. One end resembles a snake tail. About 3/4's of the way to the other end is a bulbous vaguely talon shaped bracket which holds an enchanted stick of metal. It is this enchanted end which is magical, the remainder of the quarterstaff is not.   A successful hit with this end of the staff will cause damage, but also cause the target to be under the effects of a Hold Person (see below) spell for one round. If the target is being held in contact with the quarterstaff, then they will continue to be under the effects of the Hold Person (see below) spell for one round after the quarterstaff is withdrawn.
