Fighter Class

Defensive Stance

Beginning at 3rd level, your skills as a Guardian allow you to defend nearby allies. While you are wielding a shield, you can enter a defensive stance as a bonus action on your turn. While in this stance, your movement speed is reduced by 10 feet, and you, and each ally within 5 feet, gain a +2 bonus to their Armor Class. Your stance only ends if you are incapacitated or until you choose to end it (no action required).   While you in your defensive stance, you gain access to the following defensive actions detailed below:  
  • Intervene: When a creature within 5 feet of you other than you is targeted by an attack, you can use your reaction to intervene, becoming the attack's target instead. You must choose to do so before the roll.
  •  
  • Shield Bash: When you take the attack action, you can use a bonus action on that same turn to attack a creature within 5 feet with your shield. On hit, your shield attack deals bludgeoning damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier.
 

Rallying Wind

You can rally your allies to hold in formation. Starting at 7th level, when you use your Second Wind feature, each friendly creature that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you can immediately use its reaction, if available, to move up to its speed towards you without provoking opportunity attacks and gain temporary hit points equal to your fighter level.  

Total Defense

Your bravery inspires those around you. At 10th level, each friendly creature within your defensive stance have advantage on Strength saving throws against being pushed, pulled, or knocked prone.  

Titan's Surge

Starting at 15th level, when you use your Action Surge, you can perform a mighty wave of destruction after the additional action.   You slam your shield onto the ground to cause the ground in front of you to rumble. Creatures up to one size larger than you on the ground within a 15 foot cone in front of you must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or be knocked prone.    

Master of the Shield

You have mastered the fighting techniques of the Guardian warrior. Upon reaching 18th level, while in your defensive stance, you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks and your defensive stance increases to 10 feet.
