Sweeping Attack

Transcendence, at least one Attribute score 20 or higher

When you use the attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with a sweeping, wide area attack that deals your weapon damage to all targets of your choice in the area of effect.   Creatures in the area of effect must succeed a saving throw of the same attribute as your weapon uses, taking half damage on a success. The DC is equal to 8 plus your attack bonus with that weapon.   For melee weapons, the area can be one of the below options:

  • A 5ft wide line up to your weapon’s reach times twice your proficiency bonus in length
  • A radius around you equal to your weapon’s reach plus your proficiency bonus(round to nearest 5)
  • A cone originating from you, up to 5 times your proficiency bonus in feet.
For ranged weapons:
  • A 5ft line up to your short range
  • A 10ft line up to half your short range
  • A circle with diameter equal to 5 times your proficiency bonus in feet, centered on a location within your short range.
When you use this ability, roll a hit die. You lose a number of hit points equal to your roll and your hit point maximum is lowered by the same amount.   The number of dice you roll increases by 1 for every time this ability is used. Your hp max and number of dice rolled both reset when you finish a long rest.
