Proficiency in the Arcana skill

Through years of studying the structure of the Weave and the arcane energy patterns resulting from its manipulation, you improve your ability to decipher—and counter—many of the more common patterns. You gain the following benefits:

• You gain expertise with the Arcana skill, which means your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make with it, including Spellcraft checks. This skill must not already be benefiting from a feature, such as Expertise, that doubles your proficiency bonus.
• You have advantage on ability checks using your spellcasting ability when casting counterspell or dispel magic.
• You can cast identify without expending a spell slot and without material components. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
