Stealthy. In natural terrain such as forest or snow, the monstrous dog as advantage on stealth checks as its coat is adapted for that particular terrain.   Keen Hearing and Smell. The monstrous dog has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.   Pack Tactics. The monstrous dog has advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the monstrous dog's allies is within 10 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated. Their tail attacks have a chance to knock the target prone (DC 17 STR).


Actions

Multiattack. The tyrannosaurus makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tail. It can’t make both attacks against the same target.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 33 4d12+7 piercing damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is Grappled (escape DC 17). Until this grapple ends, the target is Restrained, and the tyrannosaurus can’t bite another target.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 3d8+7 bludgeoning damage.


 

Lair Actions

When encountered, roll the timer (1d4). Each time the timer drops to 1 on the monstrous dog's turn roll the timer again, this is the number of other monstrous dogs that show up as well as how long before more turn up.


These mottled near-dinosaurs look like a cross between a rabid dog and tyrannosaurs rex.
