General Rules

General

^1.1 Abusing glitches and any other exploits will not be tolerated. Simply report your findings to the forums to publicly display your knowledge of these exploits.
^1.2 Roleplaying with excessive ooc, trolling, and/or memeing material is not tolerated.
^1.3 Behavior and interaction on Zyria shall be done in a friendly manner. Any hostile, demeaning, and/or vulgar terms shall be kept to a moderate level in character during roleplay. These behaviors, however, are not allowed in ooc.
^1.4 You may only play lore approved player cultures on Zyria with the exception of special event cultures selected by the LT and ET. Any other cultures and/or creatures are not playable and will only be at the use of ET.
^1.5 Your skin is a visual representation of your character; therefore, it must reflect what your character looks like. We will not accept any lore breaking skins.
^1.6 Speed emoting is not allowed, as it ruins any enjoyment of roleplay for either party. Emotes should respectively reflect realistic circumstances. If I had a bow, it would take me about 3 to 4 emotes before attempting to shoot it. You would need to equip the bow, load the bow itself, aim, then shoot. After an emote, ensure that the other party has had time to respond to your emote. Take turns respectively.
^1.7 Character names with vulgar or disrespectful material will be asked to change such. Failure to abide to the warning will be punishable.
^1.8 Impersonating anyone OOCly, regardless if player or staff, will not be tolerated and will be punished.
^1.9 Those partaking in targeted harassing and disrespecting of other players will be punished. We are all here to enjoy ourselves. Let’s not ruin that experience for everyone.
^1.10 Account sharing will never be allowed on Zyria. Whatever action your account has caused, will be punished on the account regardless if your “brother” was playing without your permission. In the event of your account being compromised by a hack, alert a GM or Forum Moderator.
^1.11 A player cannot move, climb, or get into any location they would not be able to realistically get into through in character. The use of glitches or exploits to get into an area mechanically will not be tolerated.
^1.12 Once a Gamemaster gives their final decision, do not go to another Gamemaster or Admin asking for their decision when you do not like the decision already given. Doing this is highly punishable and will simply make your case worse. Simply report this issue through proper channels on the forum.

Metagaming

^2.1 The act of metagaming is not allowed as it goes against the core aspects of roleplaying. Any scenario that involves a party blatantly metagaming will all be punished.
^2.2 Private messaging others as an act of sending a “bird” will also be classified as metagaming. We have mechanical features that allow for players to publicly send a bird to send a message if in need that will be allowed.

Example

If you were attacked in a forest, middle of the road, or even in your home, and your friends were to happen to “pass by” as you’re being attacked and attempted to help you, this would be treated as metagaming as there is no way that they would have known in character without some sort of ooc message.

Powergaming

^3.1 The act of Powergaming is not allowed as it goes against the core aspects of roleplaying. Everyone should have the final say as to what happens to their character as long as their character is conscious or in control. If at any moment you surrender your character’s ability to roleplay consciously, as in you were knocked out or tied up, then you don’t have the ability to properly deny what happens to your character as long as the roleplay achieves it.

Example

You simply cannot emote, “*Nathan would swing his sword at Topaz, cutting off an arm.” This is what Powergaming is. It does not allow for the opposite party to respectively decide if their character would dodge the attack or not. The proper way to emote that would be, “*Nathan would swing his sword at Topaz, attempting to aim for his arm.” This allows for the opposite party to decide what will happen to their character.

Mods & Hacks

^4.1 Hacked clients and mods that give players an advantage over others are not allowed and will strictly be punished.

Exception

• Cosmetic mods and mods that do not alter gameplay are allowed.

• Optifine has a zoom feature that is allowed on Zyria.

• Minimap mods without radar are allowed on Zyria.

Sexual Roleplay

^5.1 Explicit sexual content is allowed, however the sexual action itself is not allowed. We value ourselves to be a mature roleplay server and shall be treated as one. Sexual content entails unclothed players, hosting brothels, and the discussion of prostitution. Sexual action entails the very activity of sex or anything close to that nature.
^5.2 Sexual rape will never be allowed and will be highly punishable.
^5.3 Sexual content shall only be limited to characters of consent age, 18. Participating in sexual content while under the age of consent is highly bannable.
^5.4 If, in the case, your character wishes to commit a sexual action, you must gather consent from both parties and shall simply fade to black. This is also known as ftb, and any further roleplay can be held privately through other non-Zyria related platforms. Not doing so will also result in punishment.
