Breislandic

The language of Breislandic was developed centuries ago when the tribes of people who once populated the north-eastern side of Monteris united together during the Ancestral War of Giants. As they unified beneath the legendary King Breis and became one people, the tongues they had once used blended together into the modern language of Breislandic. The language itself is fairly simple to learn, as these tongues were already quite similar in structure.   (Think of it like a blend of German, Polish, and Russian.)

Geographical Distribution

Most everyone who speaks this language is within the nation of Breisland. However, you can also find those who know this tongue within a large portion of Northern Gjeset, due to their proximity to Breisland, and the cultural blending that has happened between the two countries in that area. There are also some who speak the tongue within small slivers of northern Orail and Paugy, and among the Breislandic peoples who occasionally dot the Eastern side of the Wildlands.
