Akeki

A race of illusionists that revel in hiding their true forms, an akeki colony is unique in that it is not uncommon for no two people to look alike while in the colony (let alone outside of it), taking on the forms and guises of people from other clans and peoples. This is a good defense mechanism for the akeki, and has led to them purusing work as thieves and informants for various rulers.
Their love of illusions though has also led them to pursue the depths of illusion magic, resulting in a host of powerful mages among their people. The guardians of the akeki are predominantly battle mage war casters who use illusion magic to supplement strength of arms and damage spells.
The akeki have no natural aversion to magic, though the Arcane Lore, the Lore of Life, and the Desert Lore tend to be the most common due to their shapeshifting and illusory spells.
