Personal history

My earliest memories were of growing up in what I now realised was a strange and bizarre place. Giant corridors, stone rooms of both normal and impossible size. I have faint memories of the co-inhabitants, some appeared normal, some even looked similar to myself! There were others though, their visage alone was so disconcerting that it hurt my head to look upon them. My last memory was of one of the men that may have been one of my caretakers. He had me follow him to one of the forbidden doors, and when he opened it I saw nothing but a blank wall of darkness before me. My last memory is of him picking me up by the waist and telling me "Your path lies outside these walls" and physical pushing through that terrifying sheet of blackness. When I came back to my senses I was discovered by a monk from the monastery of Selune. Showing a natural affinity for the arts of unarmed combat I took to their teachings very well although I could never find myself aligning with their religious beliefs or concerns. I am tormented my the vague memories of my past, my heritage and what brought me to this world. At the age of 18 a haunting apparition of someone claiming to be “father” this coupled with the nightmare of the hourglass high in the sky running, as the sand runs out and the world spins into a rapid oblivion of destruction and death as I age and turn to dust. These visions caused me to set off and seek my own answers and hopefully uncover why I was cast away and who this apparition truly is!
