The First King Part 2

Argrider is a young man. He works hard on the family farm and is in love with a young woman down the way. It is harvest. There is much work to do. Two strangers come through, a man and a woman. Their appearance upsets Argrider’s parents. They are Alarans – the woman who couldn’t kill Argrider all those years ago, and Argrider’s father. They have come because Sadeah has foreseen a holy war and Argrider is destined to unite the Armies of Light against the Tide of Evil. Argrider is a sensible person, like his adoptive father, and doesn’t believe the fate nonsense, but agrees to help because he wants to avoid war, or at least win it. He goes to help rally allies, hoping to show people they can work with the Alarns, and the other races. Somehow, in the process, he ends up quite the leader. Soon they are at war and it is stretching on far too long.
