The Alaran Church of Sadeah

The Alarans worship Sadeah, a goddess who represents law and order. They live in a theocracy with their queen also being their high priestess. The religion is highly ritualized with lots of holy days, days of observance for different sects, ritual offerings, etc. Their book of laws is one of their holy books and the queen is also the judge. Their laws are considered divine. Their second holy book is a record of revelations given by Sadeah through the oracle. The Oracle burns a branch of the sacred White Ash Tree and reads the goddesses words and wishes from the ashes.

Priesthood

The Queen is also High Priestess and Judge. Beneath her is the Oracle. There are two branches, the government and the faith. On the faith side there are priestesses who serve the oracle and maintain the temple.

Granted Divine Powers

Every Alaran is granted a single gift. These gifts are divided into sects with sects being "ruled" by Patrons. The Alaran of Music is the Patron of Music. Beneath them are the Alaran of Song, the Alaran of the Lutes, etc. The Alaran of War is the Patron of Battle. Beneath them are the Alaran of Swords, the Alaran of Shields, etc. The Alaran of Light is the Patron of Elements and the other elements, and those with elemental related gifts fall in that sect.
