Spell of Sweet Dreams

The Spell of Sweet Dreams is performed by a priest over an infant. It is a blessing to banish evil dreams and help children sleep through the night. (Infants will, of course, still wake if they are wet or hungry but it prevents colic and helps toddlers sleep through the night). This ritual is performed on every human child before they are two years old. The exact age is not specified or important, so long as it is before or around their second birthday.

Execution

Prayers are said to Helene, the Great Lady, and to the Alaran father of Argrider, the first king. (Argrider's father was the patron of dreams). A paste is made from herbs and oils and is used to draw a sacred symbol on the child's face.
