Robin Gregal

Backstory   Robin was an only child for several years. His father died when he was quite young and his mother remarried. In typical fashion, his step-father was not over-fond of him. Robin had two half-sisters, Anne-Marie and Roselyn Avia. Anne-Marie was married quite young but died soon after. Robin was told she died in childbirth but learned that her husband had beaten her to death. Robin’s step-father agreed to wed Roselyn to the same man. Robin went to his step-father and begged him to change his mind on account of this new information but his step-father (a friend of Anne-Marie’s husband) already knew and was going to go through with it anyways. Robin’s mother refused to help, she wasn’t fond of Robin either, though she wouldn’t say why. (In the end it has to do with the fact that she didn’t love his father either). Robin went to confront the man short days before the wedding. They argued and Robin killed him. He took Roselyn and the two fled Tantaria, heading west. Robin wound up in the Underground where he soon became a Caretaker, tasked with protecting an entire chapter. He was then tasked with an even greater job, convincing the Crown Princess Sepherym Hukaru that while the Underground wasn’t legal, it was necessary.   Personality Robin is roguish, charming, and outgoing. He’s a lady’s man and knows how to charm food and drink out of sweet old ladies, can act just about any class or status. This is an act, in a way, for while he’s really like that, or used to be, he’s so concerned about keeping his sister, and now his chapter of the Underground, safe that it puts a damper on his fun side. He’s no longer wealthy and naïve, he has had to steal to survive, and has had to kill to defend himself. He enjoys irritating people when he can get away with it and considers it part of his charm. He is exceptionally loyal, to his chapter and superiors, to Sepherym, and even to her friends (even Luke).
