Alarans

Alarans live on the moon in closest orbit to Zoedar. They are a strange race in that their magic allows them to easily travel between the moon and the planet. No further space exploration has been recorded in their history and it is not known to even be possible. Alarans are snobby, considering themselves superior to the wingless races of the planet. The only ones they have any respect for are the fairies whom they consider to be their short-lived "cousins" and the Phoenixes. Alarans are a matriarchal society ruled by a queen (not a hereditary position, but one divinely ordained) who is also the high priestess and who is assisted by the Oracle. They worship a goddess. They have powerful magical abilities and live long lives.
