Life, Trauma/ Loss
When his father left that morning, Kale didn't realize it would be the last time he would see him.
His parents' marriage was doomed to fail from the start. They were rushed into the marriage, into having a kid, and having the pictueresque family life. Eventually his father had enough, and couldn't even stay for his son. Kale's father had also been having an affair for a few years, and his love for the woman made him decide to finally divorce Kale's mother. In fact, he had already had a son on the way with her.
After he left, it never occured to him how horribly Kale would then be treated by own mother. She hated how much Kale looked like his father and reminded her of the man who left her. She was cold and distant.
