Personal history

Rija was born out of wedlock in Madagascar, and while both his parents wanted him, his mother's religious family was not happy about the situation. Especially since his mother's family was from France, and had been staying at their overseas home in Madagascar. It was at this time that Rija's mother, Amelia, met Rija's father who was a native of Madagascar. When his parents met, Rija's mother was 17, soon to turn 18 in a few months, and they fell quickly in love. They would meet in secret since Amelia knew her family would never approve of their relationship, and thought that when she turned 18 that she would be able to run off with the love of her life. Unfortunately, her family soon found out about them, trapped her in the house, and got someone to do away with Rija's father (as in kill him without getting blood on their hands). Since her family was religious, they wouldn't make her get an abortion, and just hoped the child would look more like his mother than his father because then they could at least pass him off as the child of another man. However, Rija was born with dark skin and black hair, only sharing green eyes and silky hair type with his mother. Rija's mother protected him from the hatred of her family, wanting to keep the light of her life safe and happy. When Rija was five years old, Amelia's family forced him to attend a boarding school to get him out of the picture and keep control on Amelia. Rija was never allowed to leave the campus until he was 18 years old and they could no longer legally keep him there. At the school, Rija made friends with Toulouse, who was also disliked by his family. The two of them were also taking ballet together. Rija shared with Toulouse that once he turns 18 and leaves this place that he will go search for his mother, though he didn't know where to start. Toulouse decided that he would help his friend, and once they both were 18 and left the school, they began their search, eventually managing to find a clue after a few months that led them to Ariomore. In that city they found Rija's mother in a hospital because she had been in a bad car accident. Once Rija's mother is going to be released from the hospital, Rija and Toulouse move into a house with her, using the money that Amelia had. Toulouse started college, while Rija got a job to help pay for things and also allow him to be at home more often to help take care of his mother as she was still recovering some. Rija's English wasn't very good, so his job options were limited, but he did begin volunteering at a nearby ballet dance studio. From there, he planned to work his way up to be an assistant and actually be paid and then to be able to have his own classes and be a ballet teacher for kids and adults.
