Barometz Wool

"That much for a bale of Erhari golden amber mosaic? Preposterous! These fibers are NOT those of a 2-year old ewe. Clearly, these belong to a decade-old ram and a particularly sickly one at that!   I have half a mind to challenge you for this insult. I will never finish my designs for the upcoming exhibition on time!
— Overheard in a Sajitarae bazaar.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Barometz wool is a textile fiber obtained from its namesake. It consists of long strands that vary in thickness and coarseness depending on the sheared vegetable-lamb's age. The finest and softest fibers coming from lambs freshly budded. The coarsest and thickest fibers are found on the oldest rams.   Colors can vary from white, black or brown to more exotic shades like palomino, russet and golden amber. The personal flocks of renowned botanical breeder, Ameli Erhar, are particularly famous for having wool with pre-established color patterns such as checkered, harlequin and mosaic.
