Session 27: A Slog Through a Treacherous Bog

General Summary

• The session began as The Dragoons (and friends) bravely fought the group of trogs, which were accompanied by a massive catoblepas - the troglodyte shaman summoned corrupted tree blights to aid them, as well
• Once the creatures were dispatched, the group explored some more and took short rest, though they barely managed to benefit from it as the buzzing and biting insects and threat of more monsters kept them distracted and anxious
• Trent got poisoned by some insects, and the stress from the inhospitable swamp exhausted our heroes, particularly Blu
• After a short montage of the handful of fights with the swampy denizers, the group managed to find more treasure chests placed about the islet - inside were some traps much like the previous ones, but also an antitoxin vial and Greater Mana Potion
• Rath had difficulty opening chests because Blu didn't want to pick the locks, Bud helped Rath out though while Trent stood watch
• This inefficient method of investigating chests made enough noise to attract the attention of some oozes, which the party fended off before pausing to recover
