Session 25: Three-Dicked Chickens, A Can of Special Beans, and Trouble in a Fishing Village

General Summary

After finishing off the loving romance between Bud Towers and his sadly recently deceased half-woman, half-bird (whom we will name Lucy), the party rested and began moving down the mountain path again. They did not have long to wait before a group of demonic chickens erupted from unknown places, running towards a caravan off in the distance. After choking the chickens, the party moved forward towards the way station.   Upon reaching the way station the Lumina’s Dragoons (and Blu’s hot sister Vendra) met with one of the smallfolk, a halfling. Pemberley Tinwhistle was his name, and since he was smoking a pipe, Rath now assumed all the smallfolk smoked pipes. The Dragoons asked about the Wyrm Lord and his Dragon, once again hearing the rumors of this person terrorizing the fishing village of Lund. Trent and Pemberley took the time to smoke weed, beat box and chill. They relaxed and enjoyed each other’s company as the party rested their weary feet.   Then Lumina’s Dragoons continued on their way to Lund. After a short, three hour scenic route (apart from the odd random encounter that was cutscened in the interest of time) the Dragoons found the fishing town. It was a largely quiet place and the party soon learned that the village was suffering because this ‘Wyrm Lord’ had interrupted their important fishing trade. As they entered, there they saw the familiar and welcoming sight of a Goddess Statue in the center of town. Along the way there were beggars off to the side. Also of note, were a pair of Halfling girls trying to lead people in a song and dance to lift their spirits. Their names are Trina and Maggie. They were freckled from head to toe and were sisters. Trent, Blu, and Rath began dancing with the crowd, to get the spirits of the people up (Bud Towers confirmed that ‘he does not dance’). Vendra noticed Rath’s sick moves. After the singing and dancing came to an end, Bud asked about the Wyrm Lord. After looks of distrust, the older women they asked stated that the town council were meeting to talk about that issue at this very moment. How convenient!   The Dragoons went to the chief’s house to join the meeting. The village chief, Fribbert Jimblejarm was trying to keep order, but was having difficulty doing so. The young priestess Ness (daughter of Pellton Dunkirk, Governor of Marabin) was trying to get everyone to band together and fight the fake Wyrm Lord. Blu immediately caught her eye and he decided to relentlessly and overtly flirt with Ness apparently just to annoy Vendra. They went together to speak to Fribbert and won him over to let the party plus the priestess take care of the false, flaming Wyrm Lord.   The chief noted that his nephew could help them procure a boat and gave them a writ to certify this. They then left for the tavern and decided to have a meal (apparently the tavern’s ‘special dinner’) of salted herring with golden potatoes and radishes, washed down by a tolerable tankard of porter for all, Blu’s treat. There they discussed their plan and Rath tried to question a few people at the docks to gain more information about the island and how to get there. After bearing no fruit, the group went to the dock house.   There appeared to be no people about, as it was dusk, but there was a candle in the window with a shadow being cast upon a wall. The group headed over to the dock house to find out who was casting the shadow. The person inside was a skinny, balding halfling, apparently the dockmaster and the chief’s nephew. Blu pushed his new lady friend (Ness) forth and she quickly took charge. She told the dockmaster that the chief gave the group a letter approving the use of a boat. Ness handed him the letter with a seal on it and Blu randomly selected a boat by pointing to a name on a ledger. However, that boat was recently damaged and would likely sink, so perhaps not that one. The nephew instead gave them the recently-repaired S.S. Boaty McBoatface, which sadly had no owner as the last one was eaten by a monster the previous week.   Thanking the dockmaster, the group headed back to the tavern, got a few rooms (one for the girls and two for the boys) and turned in for the night. On the morrow, their quest to deal with this false ‘Wyrm Lord’ begins.
