Old Hobb

Old Hobb is the Springwarden. He manages the Transfer Spring and allows and denies entry per orders of the Headmaster of Arcanum. When the party met him, he said, regretfully, that no strangers were allowed in unless they were on official business or they were applying to the Magic Academy. He suggested the party obtain Applications and return to pass through the Caverns of Potential in hopes they would be found worthy of membership. Hobb is a kindly old man, wizened and often carrying a large tome. He has a habit of nodding off in conversations, and may be narcoleptic. His spectacles are tinted purple, just ever-so-slightly, and his white shock of hair wings out on each side, as if he had perpetual cowlicks. Hobb generally wears a fine purple robe with golden embroidery and trim.
